Engagement
KYC application file audit
Our flagship engagement — an independent financial audit of know-your-customer application packs against your written CDD procedures and risk tiers.
Who this engagement is for
Compliance heads, internal audit leads, and operations managers at banks, consumer lenders, securities brokers, and remittance houses who need an outside reading of know-your-customer applications before a regulator visit, a correspondent-bank questionnaire, or an internal remediation programme.
Result you receive
A signed findings memo that maps sampled applications to your procedure clauses, rates each exception by severity, and lists remediation owners in language your staff already use. Supporting workpapers stay with you under the engagement letter.
Scope included
- Scoping workshop to fix risk segments, sample size, and period under review
- Walkthrough of your customer due-diligence procedure and checklist
- Testing of identity, address, occupation, purpose of relationship, and source-of-funds evidence on sampled packs
- Cross-check of stated income or business activity against documents on file
- Screening of file completeness against your own high-risk and enhanced-due-diligence triggers
- Closing meeting and written findings with severity ratings
Out of scope
We do not rewrite your policy manuals, operate your screening lists, or provide legal opinions on Thai AML statutes. System configuration and vendor selection sit outside this engagement unless separately agreed.
How we work
- Scoping call — confirm customer segments, branch locations, and any hard deadline.
- Access & sampling — agree file retrieval method; draw a risk-weighted sample.
- Field testing — auditors examine packs at your premises or a secure review room at Level 9, 52 Wireless Road when remote retrieval is approved.
- Findings draft — you review factual accuracy before the memo is finalised.
- Close-out — delivery of the memo and optional short briefing for remediation owners.
Duration & location
Most file audits for a single business line finish in three to six weeks, depending on how quickly packs can be retrieved. Work is delivered in Bangkok and, by arrangement, at client sites elsewhere in Thailand.
Preparation
Please nominate a compliance contact, share the current CDD procedure, and confirm whether packs are paper, scanned, or both. Restricted rooms and visitor badges should be arranged before fieldwork starts.
Pricing basis
Fees are quoted after sample size and location are fixed. See the fees page for starting ranges. A deposit secures calendar time; the balance is due on delivery of the final memo.
Next step
Request a scoping call and tell us the customer segment, approximate pack volume, and any inspection date you are working toward.
